Welcome to the Shrub Oak Little League's
Instructional/T-Ball Division for players in Pre-K and Kindergarten (4-5 years old). Players are introduced to the most basic concepts of baseball including base running, hitting, field positions, and fielding. The Instructional/T-Ball Division uses a safety ball and all players will hit off a tee and will be instructed in the basic mechanics of fielding. Towards the end of the season players will begin to hit pitches from their coach, if appropriate. Our Instructional/T-Ball Division will practice/play once a week for 90 minutes on Saturday's during the spring and fall seasons. In addition to baseball-specific skills, players will also learn how to be part of a team (such as how to respect teammates, coaches, other players; how to wait their turn; and how to show good sportsmanship). This is not a competitive division. No score will be kept for games. Player/coach ratio is small to maximize an optimal baseball learning environment.
